Norfolk has a particular quality to it — wide skies, slow rivers, villages that feel genuinely off the beaten track. It's not a county that shouts about itself, which is part of the appeal. And Woodlakes Park, set among lakes and woodland in the heart of the county, captures that spirit well.
The park takes its name from the fishing lakes that surround it. The landscape is flat and open in the Norfolk way — big light, long views, reed-fringed water. It's the kind of place that looks different every time you walk through it depending on the season and the weather.
The Norfolk Broads National Park is within easy reach, with boat hire, riverside pubs and some of the best cycling in England. The coast — Hunstanton, Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham — is less than an hour away. Holkham beach in particular is one of the most spectacular in the country: a vast stretch of pale sand backed by pine forest.
Our lodges at Woodlakes come with private hot tubs, fully equipped kitchens and everything you need for a proper self-catering break. With the fishing lakes, woodland walks and wildlife literally on your doorstep, there's no shortage of things to do between soaks.
